Park Street Church (Unitarian) in Hull represented both a movement to the suburbs and in part a movement towards Free Christianity, a broader theology than the narrow denominational movement that created a Unitarian identity (though it varied back and forth). This painting is based on the pre-demolition photograph by Sam Allen. The building present on the same site is now regarded as inner city, and requires those who live in the suburbs and beyond to drive in.
